The study examined the psychosocial factors (parenting, peer group pressure and motivation) on Students’ learning (academic achievement) among Senior Secondary School students in Katsina Metropolis, Katsina State Nigeria. The population of the study consisted of 17028 students of Senior Secondary Schools. The sample size of three hundred and seventy (370) students was randomly selected from the population. Co-relational Survey Research design was used for the study. The research Instrument was developed by the researcher in the areas of parenting, peer group pressure and motivation and Students’ learning (academic achievement). The data obtained were analyzed using statistical package for social science (SPSS 21 version).Inferential statistics of Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to analyze the data collected. The findings of the study revealed that (r-.967) there is no significant parenting and academic achievement among SSS students (r - .967), there is no significant relationship between peer group pressure and academic achievement among SSS students (r - .970) Based on these findings, it was recommended that teachers should pay attention to students’ activities while in school so as to promote meaningful learning that would enhance their academic achievement. Also, counselling strategies should be provided good parenting to their children among others.
