Trends and tools in the world of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have greatly influenced the style, operations and direction of most fields of work without leaving out counselling, teaching, among others. Information and communication technology, among other things must be made available to teachers, counsellors and students. ICT has indeed turned the world into a global village and proffered solutions to numerous problems of humanity. Problems ranging from physiological to economic, social and even psychological, through counselling. The need for counselling to catch up with the trends of the 21st century as well as the norm of COVID-19 necessitates the hasty adoption of ICT trends and tools. The study adopted a descriptive research design of correlation type. A total of 150 Students at the University of Ibadan were considered using a multi-stage random sampling procedure. Three research questions were raised and answered using Frequency distribution and T-test and tested at 0.05 level of significant. The findings showed that ( x =2.33> 2.00) on the level of ICT accessibility of undergraduate students to counselling services during COVID 19 ERA and ( x =2.50> 2.00) on the contribution of ICT to counselling service during COVID 19 ERA among undergraduate students in University of Ibadan, Oyo State. There is a significant difference between perceptions of students at the University of Ibadan on ICT as a tool in counselling during COVID 19 ERA based on gender (T₍₁₅₀₎= 1.759, p<.05). Based on the finding of this study, it was recommended that ICT trends and tools should be incorporated into the operations and methods of counselling; counselors should be trained on the use of ICT and how it could be used to improve guidance and counselling activities and services.
