This study was designed to find out the causes - gender, economic status and educational level - of sexual dysfunction. The descriptive survey method was adopted. The study's target population comprised all literate couples in the Oyo-east local government of Oyo state. One hundred fifty males and females were sampled and selected using purposive sampling techniques. The data collected were analyzed using mean and t-tests for the raised research question that guided the study. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire tagged sexual Dysfunction Rating scale (SDRS). The instrument reliability was established through the test-retest, which yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.76. The study revealed that literate married couples of various degrees are experiencing different types of sexual dysfunction in levels of education and economic status, as revealed by the study. Also, the finding revealed that a significant difference was not found in variables of gender, economic status and educational level of participants and gender notwithstanding. The study implied that counselors through (CASSON) need to intensify efforts in sensitizing the government and policy maker on the need for comprehensive sex education in Nigeria.
