The purpose of this study was to investigate the strategic realignment of companies for competitiveness in a digital global business environment (ICT), as a case study for four (4) private companies over the period of 1998 to 2008. It was that period that the industry has grown from a manually driven to a digitally dependent industry with ICT-enabled services and product innovations to improve the lives of bank consumers in the country. The methodology involved a simple qualitative questionnaire to investigate their ICT and expenditure in ICT, staff training and expenditure on training and these against their competitiveness and profit. The result indicated that ICT and staff training had a positive impact on the competitiveness and profitability of these companies.
