In response to the compulsory closure of institutions of learning to curb the blowout of covid-19 among humans, the government, school owners and other concerned stakeholders started seeking ways to keep students busy with academic activities during the lockdown. Thus, schools began to engage students in different kinds of online learning approaches which are actually are tools and environment of the Open and Distance Learning. However, the idea is greeted with mixed feelings from students and parents. Therefore, this paper investigated a private institution, Anchor University, Lagos students’ disposition to online teaching and learning during COVID- 19 pandemic period. The study used the descriptive survey design and collected data, using a questionnaire titled COVID-19 Online Teaching and Learning Questionnaire (COLTQ), from a total number of one hundred and four (104) out of around five hundred (500) students participated in the study. The results show that students have a negative disposition to the use of online teaching and learning. Also, the results show that students’ have preference for face-to-face learning and wish the practice should be retained at post COVID-19 era. The paper concludes that Anchor university students see e-learning as the way to go in the 21st century and equally optimistic for restoration of normalcy in the country which would ensure return to the previous mode of instruction adopted by the institution after the pandemic lockdown. It is recommended that lecturers should be effectively trained to effectively facilitate students’ learning on different and relevant online platforms during and at post COVID-19 pandemic periods.
