This study examined the effects of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Client Centred Therapy (CCT) on the Social Dysfunctional Behaviour of the Adolescents in Ekiti State. The objectives of the study were to investigate the (a) effect of CBT on the improvement of the psychological well-being of Adolescents, (b) effect of CCT on the socially dysfunctional behaviour of Adolescents, and (c) effectiveness of CBT and CCT among the Adolescents, in Ekiti State. The study employed a 3-by-2 factorial design, and a Simple Random Sampling to select sixty students from three secondary schools in Ekiti State. Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics, and ANCOVA to test hypotheses. The findings of the study revealed (a) a significant difference between CBT and CCT on the improvement of psychological well-being of adolescents in Ekiti State, (b) a significant effect of CBT on socially dysfunctional behaviour of adolescents in Ekiti State, and (c) a significant level of effect of CCT on social behaviour of adolescents in Ekiti State. The study concluded that CBT and CCT have effects on the social dysfunctional behaviour of adolescents in Ekiti State. Parents and teachers should be mindful of the psychological well-being of adolescents in helping them to achieve a good academic standing.
