Africa today is a multi-cultural and multi-religious society. As such, our very survival depends on how we learn to live and walk together in harmony with our neighbours or drift apart and destroy ourselves and others. In inter-religious dialogue and praxis, we learn how to live and walk together with our neighbours—how to struggle together; face the crises of poverty, oppression, injustice, racism, and sexism together; face diseases, death, and mourn together; and how to celebrate life together. ^^To further promote this togetherness; there is the need to search our scriptures (the Bible), but also the Qur’an to know, for instance, what it says about the need to respect ‘the dignity and God’s image in every human being and communal living and that is what this paper attempts to do.
